Russian Glide Bombs Tear Through Zaporizhzhia: 8 Dead, Kids Among the Victims

Original version ·

A brutal 5 a.m. wake-up call in Zaporizhzhia as guided aerial bombs ripped through residential blocks, turning morning sleep into dust.

Right around dawn, while most people were still asleep in their beds, heavy Russian glide bombs slammed into residential areas of Zaporizhzhia.

The hit crushed an entire five-story apartment block and demolished an office of the humanitarian mission Proliska. As rescue teams sift through concrete, regional head Ivan Fedorov confirmed the grim toll: eight dead, including three children, and 16 wounded, with several clinging to life in intensive care.

Another dozen residents are simply unaccounted for under the wreckage, turning an ordinary morning into an agonizing waiting game for their families.

Waking civilians up with 500-kilo bombs before sunrise remains the aggressor's only definition of a military objective.
