Russia strikes Zaporizhzhia: 5 killed and 20 injured
Russia launched another heavy wave of drones and missiles hitting residential neighborhoods and power infrastructure.
The Russian military decided to run another combined attack using both drones and ballistic missiles. While air defense alerts sounded across Kyiv and several regions, Zaporizhzhia took the main hit.
According to local head Ivan Fedorov, the strikes destroyed whatever they could hit. Explosions damaged residential homes, industrial facilities, non-residential buildings, and even a local garage cooperative. Fires broke out across the city, leaving multiple neighborhoods completely blacked out.
Targeting garages and power sub-stations remains the enemy's primary strategic objective.
