Business trip to Zakarpattia ends in a local TCC and a morgue
A man went on a work trip to the scenic mountains of western Ukraine, got detained at a train station, and died in a hospital with broken ribs. Just another regular Tuesday in the mobilization saga.
The details of this story are as grim as they get. A guy arrived at the Volovets train station for a business trip. Instead of doing his job, he was picked up by the local TCC. Shortly after, he was rushed to a local hospital straight from the enlistment office.
The medical diagnosis was shocking: broken ribs and severe chest trauma. He did not survive.
The National Police confirmed the whole thing and opened a murder investigation, which is standard procedure for sudden deaths, but still. Meanwhile, the Ombudsman's office is frantically sending inquiries to the SBI and military prosecutors, demanding to know what on earth happened behind those closed doors.
And what about the Zakarpattia TCC? They are reportedly "preparing a comment." It takes some time to find the right words to explain how a man gets fatal chest trauma while being processed for mobilization.
Let's hope the prepared comment doesn't involve him aggressively falling onto a radiator multiple times.
