Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko Resigns
The big government reset is officially on. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has submitted her resignation to parliament.
The speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, dropped the news on Facebook that Yulia Svyrydenko has officially asked to step down. The parliament is expected to vote on this almost immediately.
This isn't a random solo move, but the start of a massive cabinet reshuffle that Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned us about. The leadership is calling it a "new stage of the struggle" and says we need to strengthen the home front, handle infrastructure strikes faster, and rebuild relations with neighboring allies on a totally new foundation.
Meanwhile, Davyd Arakhamia has already thanked her for steering the ship through the worst of times, hinting her experience will definitely be used "where reinforcement is needed." In plain terms: she is probably not going far, just changing seats.
The great national tradition of musical chairs in the government cabinet continues, just with much higher stakes this time.
