Ukraine's 'Vivaldi' operation just cleared out more Russian positions

Original version ·

Things are moving on the frontline as Ukraine wraps up another season of its custom-named offensive.

It turns out that Andriy Biletsky has been running something called Operation Vivaldi, and it is going surprisingly well. They just liberated Shandryholove and Derylove, while also taking full control of Drobysheve. The real kicker is that they are actively air-dropping ground robots behind enemy lines.

Instead of just sending infantry to do the hard work, they are using heavy bombers to parachute these robot kamikazes over 10 kilometers into the rear. The Russian side is essentially being blinded by electronic warfare while their logistics, command posts, and communication nodes get systematically picked apart. It’s less of a traditional meat grinder and more of an automated tactical headache for the Russian command.

A very expensive way to find out that robots are better at logistics than Russian soldiers.
