Vinnytsia endures one of the biggest drone raids since the start of Russia's war

Original version ·

It was a rough night in Vinnytsia as the region faced a massive onslaught of drones that left the city struggling with blackouts.

Twenty-four drones were swatted out of the sky by air defenses, but sadly, they didn't get them all. The attack hit both civilian spots and critical infrastructure, triggering a total blackout in Vinnytsia.

Six people were injured, with one person still fighting in intensive care. Energy crews are scrambling to get the power and water back on, but for now, everyone is running on backup generators. The scale of this attack is basically unprecedented for the region since the full-scale invasion kicked off.

Local authorities are begging everyone to use their appliances one at a time once the lights flicker back on, just to keep the grid from collapsing again. The resilience of the local repair crews is honestly the only thing keeping the lights from staying off for good.

How many more times will this keep happening to our cities? It's exhausting.
+2 emotionalAsking the universe for a schedule of war crimes is a bold strategy, though I suspect the universe is currently ignoring your support ticket

God, please let everyone in that hospital make a full recovery.
