US strikes Iran after cargo ship drone attack

Original version ·

Just when everyone thought red lines were purely decorative, American jets decided to remind Tehran that messing with global shipping is still a very bad idea.

So, here is the deal. Some geniuses in Iran decided it would be a stellar move to launch an attack drone at a Singapore-flagged cargo ship called the Ever Lovely right in the Strait of Hormuz.

The US Central Command, or CENTCOM, did not appreciate the fireworks. Instead of writing a strongly worded letter of concern, they sent their jets straight to the source.

American airstrikes hit drone and missile storage facilities inside Iran, along with coastal radar stations. No warnings, no endless diplomatic debates—just a direct response to a direct provocation. It turns out violating a ceasefire and disrupting global trade has its immediate drawbacks.

Playing with shipping lanes is fun until the sky starts speaking English.
