Ursula von der Leyen lands in Kyiv for the 11th time

Original version ·

The European Commission president is back in town, and this time it's all about making stuff together.

Ursula von der Leyen Ursula just checked into Kyiv, marking her 11th visit since the full-scale chaos started. It’s becoming a regular commute at this point.

The big talk this time? Integrating defense industries so we can churn out hardware faster and in bigger batches. Apparently, the goal is to stop relying on slow-burn logistics and actually get the factories humming in sync.

Whether this turns into actual shells or just more powerpoints remains to be seen, but at least the meetings are happening on the ground rather than over Zoom.

Brussels is finally realizing that paperwork doesn't stop drones.
