88% of Ukrainians want a total political reboot after the war

Original version ·

A fresh poll shows that Ukrainians are totally ready to sweep the state offices clean the second the war is won. No hard feelings, just a healthy desire for a fresh start.

The guys at KIIS just dropped a fresh poll, and the numbers are beautifully clear. Turns out, 88% of Ukrainians want a complete reboot of the central government as soon as we win.

It’s not just about the notoriously unpopular parliament anymore. Back in 2021, only 23% wanted a new president after the war. Today? That number has skyrocketed to 67%. Even among those who currently trust Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the majority thinks it’s only fair to pass the torch once peace is restored.

Also, the "hero-boss" vibe is wearing off. Back in 2022, a whopping 79% thought it was fine for the president to bypass the constitution and tell parliament what to do. Now, almost 40% are politely suggesting it's time to remember how separation of powers works.

Love and trust are great, but a democracy’s gotta keep moving.
