71% of Ukrainians say 'no' to elections right now according to KIIS
Forget the noise: the vast majority of the country isn't interested in heading to the polls while the war is still raging.
New data from KIIS just dropped, and it’s pretty clear where people stand: 71% of Ukrainians want absolutely nothing to do with elections at the moment. Even among those who aren't fans of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the urge to trigger a political circus is surprisingly low.
The mood is complex, though. While nobody wants an election, there’s a creeping sense of disappointment and even shame regarding the current state of affairs. People are split on whether things are moving in the right direction, but they’d clearly rather fix the house than hold a contest for the architect while the walls are shaking.
Apparently, stability is preferred over a political reboot, even when the government is far from popular.
