53 Ukrainians are off the grid following Nepal floods

Original version ·

It seems like a lot of people went for a trek and got caught in a massive natural disaster.

So, Nepal is currently dealing with some absolute chaos caused by flash floods and landslides, and things have gotten pretty worrying for a group of Ukrainians traveling there. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that contact has been lost with at least 53 of our citizens.

The worst part is that there is currently zero proof that anyone from our group is actually among the casualties, but they are technically off the grid. The local tourist police are deep in the middle of search operations, and our embassies in India and China are scrambling to figure out who is where.

It is wild to think about how quickly a vacation spot turns into a survival zone once nature decides it has had enough.
