Zelenskyy confirms a very expensive night for the Russian energy sector

Original version ·

It seems the distance between Ukraine and Russia’s oil depots is getting shorter by the day.

Zelenskyy just dropped the news that the Ukrainian forces decided to return the favor after the recent massive missile attacks on the grid. Instead of just grumbling, they sent a few uninvited guests to visit Russian oil facilities and training grounds way deep in the interior.

We are talking about Perm, Samara, and Astrakhan. These places aren't exactly next door, yet the oil infrastructure there seems to be feeling quite fragile lately. Even the Black Sea didn't escape the attention, suggesting that the logic of "what goes around comes around" is being applied with surgical precision.

Apparently, the concept of a safe rear area for the invaders is rapidly becoming a thing of the past.
