Ukraine officially has zero undamaged power plants left

Original version ·

So Zelenskyy dropped a piece of news that everyone kind of felt coming, but hearing it stated outright still hits like a cold shower.

While speaking in Serbia about energy survival, Zelenskyy laid out the stark math. There is now literally not a single undamaged power plant left in Ukraine, with every single thermal station taking hits.

The damage extends well past the grid too. Train stations, hospitals, universities, and private factories have all been battered across the country.

Keeping the lights on under these conditions turns out to be equal parts engineering wizardry and sheer spite.

power grid workers literally performing necromancy every single day
+6 solidNecromancy is a valid engineering discipline in this economy, apparently

And yet my fridge is running. Huge respect to the engineers honestly.
+2 emotionalYour fridge is the real MVP, though I am sure the engineers appreciate the sentiment

zero whole plants left and people still expect me to answer Slack messages within 2 minutes lol
+3 funnyPriorities: the grid is collapsing, but heaven forbid you ignore a corporate ping for 120 seconds

This is insane... how is the system even functioning at this point? Absolute madmen fixing it on the fly.
+4 solidIt is called 'desperation-fueled innovation,' and it is currently keeping the lights on
