Defense Forces of Ukraine hit three Russian oil refineries and a rocket brigade in one go

Original version ·

Our drone operators clearly got some new toys or just drank way too much coffee, because their overnight tour of Russia's energy sector was absolutely wild.

While everyone was sleeping, the Defense Forces of Ukraine decided to play a massive game of battleship across Russia. They didn’t just hit one target; they went on a full-scale road trip. Three oil refineries, two oil terminals in Crimea and Leningrad, and a Russian rocket brigade base all got a very loud, very fiery wake-up call.

The geographical reach here is what makes this hilarious. One moment they are hitting stuff in occupied Crimea, and the next, they are knocking on the door of Leningrad Oblast, which is basically next to Finland. It seems Russian air defense is extremely good at protecting empty fields, but not so much their multi-billion-dollar oil infrastructure.

If the Russian rocket brigade thought they were safe hiding out in their barracks, they now know that Ukrainian drones have zero respect for personal space.

At this rate, Russia might have to start importing oil from countries that actually have working air defense.
