Ukrainian Drones Just Traveled 2,500 Km to Hit Gazprom Neft's Biggest Refinery
Geography is officially no longer a defense mechanism for Russian infrastructure.
When people think of deep strikes, they usually picture targets a couple hundred miles behind the border. Ukrainian special operators apparently had a completely different scale in mind, reaching all the way to Siberia to smack the Omsk Refinery.
That is roughly 2,500 kilometers out. It is officially the furthest Russian refinery ever hit by Ukrainian drones. And this isn't some backwater depot either — owned by Gazprom Neft, it is literally Russia's single most powerful refining facility, processing over 21 million tons of oil annually to keep their military machine fueled.
The plant had already caught a hit back in July and was barely dragging itself through repairs before this second visit arrived, pulling off the job with local resistance group Black Spark.
Hiding essential war logistics deep in the Siberian tundra stops working the second long-range flight range stops being theoretical.
