Ukraine Will Start Designing NATO War Games from 2027
Turns out theoretical war games hit different when someone in the room has actual modern combat experience.
Ukraine won't just show up to execute orders during NATO exercises anymore. Starting in 2027, Ukrainian officers will be in the room actually writing the scripts for the alliance's war games.
NATO is already making rare exceptions by letting Ukrainian troops into closed drills traditionally reserved only for member states. In upcoming air defense exercises, Ukrainian specialists will literally play the role of the enemy, mimicking real Russian tactics to show allied troops what modern air warfare actually feels like.
Teaching the alliance how to survive a modern war before formally letting the teacher into the club is quite a vibe.
