Dmytro Lubinets wants a working group to fix mobilization
Ukraine’s Ombudsman is waiting for the new Defense Minister to be appointed so they can overhaul the entire draft system.
Human Rights Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets is waiting for Parliament to officially appoint a new Defense Minister. As soon as that vote happens, he plans to propose setting up a dedicated working group inside the ministry to revamp how mobilization actually works.
He is even offering to join the team himself. While praising acting minister Yevhen Khmara as a top professional, Lubinets insists that a complete overhaul of the mobilization system requires a fully appointed minister with legal authority.
This isn't his first attempt at pushing for reform either — he called for an urgent working group back in May, but bureaucratic processes move slow while news from recruitment offices keeps piling up.
Creating another official working group to tackle complex issues remains the ultimate bureaucratic classic.
