95% of military drones bought by Ukraine are now locally made
The Defense Ministry basically built an e-commerce marketplace for the front line, and local drone makers are sweeping the platform.
Forget endless bureaucratic paperwork and official tenders. The military essentially built an internal e-commerce platform for the front line called DOT-Chain Defence, where combat units order gear based on real battlefield performance.
The General Staff doesn't even specify brand names anymore — just technical specs. Automated ratings from combat systems like DELTA and Brave1 Market decide which supplier gets the order. As a result, 95% of all drones procured through the system are manufactured inside Ukraine. Delivery times from order to arrival have dropped to an average of nine days.
It turns out that when combat units choose their own tools without bureaucratic middlemen, local tech manufacturers win almost every single contract on speed and specs.
Bureaucracy moves at the speed of paperwork, but military tech apparently moves at the speed of express delivery.
