Ukrainian troops spent ₴5B on drones in Brave1 Market using kill-points
Gamifying military procurement sounds like cyberpunk fiction, but Ukraine just turned battlefield kills into online shopping credits.
Ukraine's defense marketplace just recorded its biggest month ever, with soldiers ordering 5 billion UAH worth of drones, ground robots, and electronic warfare gear in June.
The whole system runs on "eBaly" — literally military reward points. Units earn them by destroying enemy armor, conducting recon, or completing unmanned ground missions. Then commanders hop onto an Amazon-style platform called Brave1 Market and buy whatever high-tech gear they actually need on the front line right now.
It turns out that battlefield gamification gets delivery times down to just eight days. Even better, drone manufacturers get live dashboards showing their product's rank, total mission count, and which units use them most. It is literally an e-commerce platform where customer reviews are written in destroyed enemy hardware.
Capitalist incentives combined with gamified warfare might just be the most effective military procurement model invented this century.
