Ukraine Turns Russian Shadow Fleet into a Submarine Demo in Huge Overnight Sweep
Someone in the Armed Forces of Ukraine clearly had an espresso too many and decided to hit every piece of Russian military logistics in a single night.
When Ukraine's military planners decide on a theme night, they commit. Overnight strikes took out six oil tankers and two tugboats operating across the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
These were not peaceful cruise liners. The ships were busy smuggling crude past international sanctions and fueling the Russian invasion machine. Now they are busy taking on seawater.
The maritime fireworks were only chapter one. Ukrainian forces also wrecked the Chonhar railway bridge into Crimea, clipped a highway bridge in Zaporizhzhia, blasted an oil depot in Shakhtarsk, and smoked an electronic warfare storage site in Luhansk for good measure.
Trying to dodge sanctions with a rusty shadow fleet gets considerably harder when the fleet stops floating.
