Ukrainian Drones Hit Refineries 1,300 km Inside Russia and Black Sea Ships
Distance is getting increasingly theoretical for Russia's oil industry these days.
Ukrainian long-range drones just flew over 1,300 kilometers to pay a visit to the Bashneft-Novoil refinery in Bashkortostan. Meanwhile, another drone strike hit the Slavneft-Yanos refinery in Yaroslavl, roughly 700 kilometers from the border.
As if deep inland strikes weren't enough, the military also knocked out two Russian patrol boats and target vessels from the shadow fleet in the Black Sea. Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the hits, calling them long-range sanctions aimed directly at cutting off Russian oil revenue.
Parking expensive oil infrastructure deep inside the country doesn't seem to guarantee peace and quiet anymore.
