Ukraine's drone forces sink 10 Russian shadow tankers in 24 hours
Running an illicit oil empire gets tricky when Ukrainian drone operators turn maritime sanctions enforcement into a high-speed arcade game.
Magyar and the Unmanned Systems Forces just turned the Sea of Azov into a no-parking zone for sanction-dodging oil haulers. In roughly twenty-four hours, Ukrainian strike drones tracked down and hammered ten separate tankers from Russia's illicit fleet.
The eighth on the hit list was the MS Ivan Cheremisinov, caught overnight by the 414th Brigade, before the pilots sent birds after numbers nine and ten just to make it an even double digit. For good measure, drone units also hit five electrical substations and a gas compressor hub across occupied Crimea on the exact same day.
Hitting ten oil tankers in a single day is practically a unilateral naval embargo delivered by remote control.
Evading maritime sanctions only works until the sky above the sea starts buzzing.
