Ukrainian Drones Just Turned S-400 Systems and Shadow Fleet Tankers Into Scrap
It turns out 47 drones can accomplish quite a lot when they're feeling motivated and have some really expensive targets to pick off.
The UkrainianDrone Forces had a busy night, hitting 47 different spots deep behind enemy lines. The absolute highlight was taking out two S-400 launchers that had been busy lobbing ballistic missiles at our cities. One was caught at its launch site in Bryansk, the other hiding away in Crimea. It turns out these fancy anti-aircraft systems aren't so good at defending themselves from a swarm.
To make the evening even better, they also tagged two tankers from the Russian shadow fleet out in the Azov Sea. These ships were hauling 14,000 tons of fuel to Crimea—basically a floating gas station waiting to happen. Add in a fire at a fuel depot in Kerch, and it's clear the supply chain is having a very bad day.
Expensive hardware burning in the woods is arguably the best kind of environmental news.
