Crimea's "energy bridge" and radars just got a massive drone upgrade

Original version ·

While everyone was sleeping, Ukraine's drone forces went on an absolute rampage across Crimea, turning off the lights and blinding local air defenses in one swift night.

Ukraine’s newly minted Unmanned Systems Forces just had their ultimate "hold my beer" moment. They managed to hit 53 different military targets in Crimea and southern Ukraine in a single night.

The highlight of this nocturnal field trip was the Kuban-Crimea energy bridge. It’s basically the giant extension cord Russia ran from its mainland to keep the occupied peninsula plugged in. Now, that cord has some serious issues.

To make things even funnier, they also knocked out three radar stations. These are the very expensive machines designed to warn the Russian army that drones are coming. You had one job, guys.

And for the grand finale, they hit a military training ground. Because why let the recruits sleep when you can give them a very realistic, very fiery practical exam?

Air defense apparently decided to take a collective sick leave, leaving the peninsula both blind and slightly dimmer.
