Air defense wipes out 108 of 123 drones as Russia unleashes massive swarm
Another night, another swarm of flying mopeds, jet drones, and foam decoys trying to overwhelm the sky — but air defense held the line.
The attackers basically emptied their storage shelves. The overnight wave included jet-powered Shahed drones, budget Gerbera and Italmas copies, and plywood decoy drones ironically named Parodiya just to clutter the radar screens.
Launches came simultaneously from eight different directions, from Kursk and Bryansk down to occupied Crimea, hoping sheer volume from every compass point would punch through.
Mobile firing groups, aviation, and electronic warfare units still took down or jammed 108 of them.
Burning through over a hundred drones just to watch nine out of ten get turned into field scrap is certainly a bold military doctrine.
