Denmark Signs Drone Deal to Buy Battle-Tested Tech from Ukraine
The script flipped: instead of just asking for western gear, Ukraine is signing deals with allies so they can buy combat-proven Ukrainian drones.
Remember when military assistance was strictly a one-way street? That setup is changing fast. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen just signed a bilateral “Drone Deal” — the ninth such pact Ukraine has locked in so far.
The concept behind these agreements is straightforward: allied governments fund and co-produce drones with Ukrainian manufacturers, earning direct access to purchase battle-tested tech straight from the source. Denmark originally pioneered the model of directly funding weapon production inside Ukraine, so getting priority access to the resulting tech makes total sense.
Over twenty countries are currently working on joining the exact same setup, with Germany next in line.
