Russia decided to wake up its vintage Tu-95MS fleet again

Original version ·

Just when you thought you could actually sleep through the night, the Air Force dropped the classic alarm.

It is the same old routine. A bunch of Tu-95MS bombers hauled themselves off the runway in Olenya, and here we go again. These Soviet-era relics are currently playing the 'will they, won't they' game with their missile bays, forcing everyone to check their apps and pray the batteries on the power bank are charged.

The military is playing it safe as usual, reminding everyone that if the sirens start screaming, it is probably a good time to become an expert on the structural integrity of your local basement. It is fascinating how a few planes in the Murmansk region can dictate the bedtime of an entire country.

Nothing says international diplomacy like terrorizing civilians with museum pieces.
