Syrskyi steps down as Ukraine's army chief with a mic-drop farewell

He did not skip the tough moments either, pointing out the hard call to withdraw from Avdiivka to save lives, right alongside structural shifts like creating dedicated drone forces and driving the Russian fleet away. His core message for his successor was plain simple: he is passing on an army that is actively on the offensive.
With Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi tapped by President Zelenskyy to step in, claiming 700 square kilometers reclaimed this year alone sets a pretty high bar for the new commander.
