Russian Advance Cut in Half, Says Oleksandr Syrskyi

Original version ·

The top brass just dropped the mid-year report, and it looks like the invaders are finally running out of steam.

According to Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Russians have been struggling to keep their momentum going. They went from trying to push on 13 different fronts to barely managing half that number. Even with their massive advantage in people and gear, the pace of their advance has slowed by more than half compared to the start of the year.

It is not all sunshine and rainbows, though. The losses on both sides remain brutal, and the enemy still has his eyes on grabbing more land. But the strategy of wearing them out seems to be doing something. Every time the Russians try to force a breakthrough, they run into a wall that costs them dearly in equipment and lives.

Numbers matter, but the reality on the ground is that the steam is clearly leaking out of their offensive machine. Let that sink in.
