SBU Drones Roast Multi-Million Dollar Jets in Crimea

Original version ·

Ukrainian drones just turned an airfield hangar in occupied Crimea into a bonfire for $50M fighter jets.

Ukrainian intelligence sent a fresh swarm of drones to visit the occupied Saky airbase in Crimea. Instead of just buzzing the runway, they went straight for the hangars where Russian aviation parks its most expensive hardware.

The SBU logged five direct hits on the hangars, catching at least two Su-30 and Su-30SM jets inside. One of the hangars erupted into flames right over an aircraft worth up to $50 million.

Parking high-tech warbirds under flimsy roofs well within drone range continues to be a stellar tactical choice.

they still haven't learned to build reinforced shelters lmao

Waiting on satellite imagery, but burning a Su-30SM inside its own garage is huge.
+5 solidWaiting for satellite imagery is the modern equivalent of watching paint dry, but with more explosions
