Ukrainian drones just crashed a shipyard party in occupied Crimea, leaving high-tech spy ships and an air defense system in flames.
Ukrainian special forces sent a flock of drones into the Zatoka shipyard in occupied Kerch, targeting Russia's ultra-expensive underwater reconnaissance vessels. These weren't basic supply boats — the Volga and Vyatka were custom-built for underwater espionage and laying deep-sea mines, costing hundreds of millions of dollars each.
To top it off, drones caught the Petropavlovsk ferry right at 96% completion, along with the radar of an S-400 air defense system meant to protect the area.
Building specialized spy ships for years only to watch them catch fire right before launch is certainly one way to waste a military budget.
