SBU Burned a Russian Tu-95 Bomber 800 km Deep into Russia
Sending missile-carrying heavy bombers 800 kilometers away from the front line used to feel safe for Russian pilots, but the SBU just delivered a very loud wake-up call to the Engels airbase.
The strategic bomber Tu-95, which Russia regularly used to launch cruise missiles at Ukrainian cities, is no more. It got caught parked at its home base in Engels, Saratov oblast.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy officially confirmed the hit, thanking the boys for their 'long-range sanctions.' The drone travel distance was about 800 kilometers, which apparently is no longer a problem for Ukrainian-made tech.
While Saratov locals were busy filming fires and sharing explosions on social media, some oil facilities and occupied territories also got their share of fireworks.
Parking a multi-million dollar giant nuclear-capable bomber under the open sky during a war, 800 kilometers from a highly motivated drone fleet, is certainly one of the military decisions of all time.
