Ukrainian gymnast Sasha Paskal wins gold on a prosthetic leg
Ukrainian kids are built different. Sasha Paskal, a young gymnast who lost her leg to a Russian missile strike, just went to Romania and grabbed a gold medal at an international tournament.
Back in 2022, a Russian missile hit Zatoka near Odesa. Sasha, who was only six back then, spent over two weeks in a medically induced coma and ultimately lost her leg. For most, that would be the end of any athletic dreams. But apparently, Ukrainian gymnasts don't do self-pity.
She got a modern prosthetic leg, went through a grueling rehab process, and immediately jumped right back onto the gymnastics mat. At the Carla’s Rhythmic Cup in Romania, she clinched the gold medal, competing on equal terms with everyone else.
They tried to break her with a multi-million dollar missile, but she just came back as a bionic champion. Good luck finding an excuse to skip your gym session today.
