Jet Shaheds Target Ukrainian Science Academy and Hospitals

Original version ·

Russia apparently decided that slapping turbojets onto flying lawnmowers is peak military innovation, using them to batter historic research buildings and clinics.

Over 120 drones hit Ukraine in broad daylight, and roughly 90 of them were flying on jet engines. Instead of anything resembling military targets, they slammed into a hospital in Kyiv and wrecked multiple floors of the historic National Academy of Sciences, injuring renowned academician Volodymyr Horbulin and killing his assistant right opposite the historic parliament building.

Another drone decided to take a scenic tour all the way to the border of Poland just to raise blood pressure across NATO. Between high-speed hits on an ordinary apartment block in Odesa and an office hub in Dnipro, wasting expensive jet-propelled drones on elderly scientists and medical wards left nine people dead and over eighty injured.

Strapping jet propulsion to loitering munitions just to wage an aggressive war against academic offices and hospital beds really sums up the entire campaign.
