Russian glide bombs hit Zaporizhzhia at dawn, leaving 14 wounded and one dead

Original version ·

Another morning, another round of heavy glide bombs dumped straight onto residential areas and aid workers.

Waking up at dawn to guided aerial bombs tearing through a city is becoming an everyday routine that nobody should ever have to get used to. Russian aviation dropped multiple glide bombs across Zaporizhzhia, killing one person and injuring 14 others, including a child and a cop.

Because hitting ordinary neighborhoods apparently was not enough, one of the strikes completely wrecked the local office of Proliska, a humanitarian aid mission. Rescue workers from the DSNS spent hours digging people out of the rubble while municipal crews rushed in to patch whatever was left standing.

Targeting the very people who hand out emergency blankets and food kits has quietly become a deliberate tactical choice.
