Russia executes Ukrainian POWs near Huliaipole

Original version ·

Another front-line war crime caught on tape, because international conventions apparently exist as theoretical suggestions.

Ukrainian prosecutors just opened a war crimes investigation into another execution of captured defenders. Near Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Russian troops captured Ukrainian soldiers and shot them dead on the spot.

This is backed by direct evidence. Ukrainian military units handed over intercepted radio communications where Russian soldiers and commanders openly discuss and confirm orders to murder the prisoners.

Hundreds of documented executions since the invasion began show this is not rogue chaos, but standard operating doctrine.

International law continues to operate on an honor system against an army that treats summary executions as routine field procedure.

Systematic executions ordered straight from command. Every single one of these monsters needs to be hunted down.
