A swarm of Russian attack drones descended on Sumy overnight, striking civilian infrastructure across three different parts of the city and leaving at least two people injured.
Instead of anything resembling military assets, the barrage hit everyday buildings and residential houses in the Kovpakivskyi district. Several drones bypassed air defense nets specifically to blast ordinary city quarters. Local authorities and medics spent the pre-dawn hours pulling people out of damaged homes and dealing with ruined infrastructure.
Tearing down civilian apartment blocks seems to remain the only operational objective the Russian drone fleet manages to hit with consistent precision.
