Russia hit a Marshall Islands ship in Odesa

Just when you thought global shipping couldn't get any more chaotic, a Russian missile decided to target a boat flying a flag from the other side of the planet.

So, Russia fired a missile at the port infrastructure in Odesa. It ended up hitting a civilian vessel flying the flag of the Marshall Islands. Yes, those tiny, peaceful islands in the Pacific.

The missile smashed right into the ship's superstructure, which immediately caught fire. The entire crew of 17 had to be evacuated, and four of them got hurt. Luckily, they didn't need hospital beds, just some quick medical attention on the spot.

Apparently, fighting a country without a navy now means aiming at random merchant ships flying flags of nations that probably don't even know where Russia is on a map.

Nothing screams "mighty superpower" quite like waging war against Pacific island grain carriers.
