Russia's Idea of "De-escalation": 19 Dead in Dnipro, Chernihiv, and Kremenchuk
Whenever diplomats start whispering the word "peace talks", Russia sends drones straight into train stations and city squares just to remind everyone who they are dealing with.
Broad daylight, three regular cities. In Dnipro, a Shahed drone smashed right into the railway station where passengers were waiting for a regular commuter train to Zaporizhzhia. In Chernihiv, a strike directly hit the downtown core, killing two 15-year-old girls. In Kremenchuk, missiles landed right between apartment buildings, wounding dozens including six kids.
At least 19 people were killed in a single afternoon across these three cities alone, according to Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Foreign leaders promptly lined up with standard statements of deep concern, yet condolences don't intercept incoming missiles. Real protection still takes air defense, real sanctions, and weapons that actually stop the launch pads from operating.
Condolences never intercepted a single Shahed.
