Over 260 kids snitched on Russian spies trying to recruit them for sabotage
Russian intelligence thought tricking teenagers on Telegram was a masterstroke, until the kids started handing them over to the police.
Russian agents have been sliding into the DMs of Ukrainian teenagers, offering quick cash or using ridiculous blackmail schemes to get them to burn cars and photograph military targets. In one absurd twist, scammers even called people who bought dietary supplements, pretended to be the SBU, and accused them of treason to pressure them into arson.
Over 260 Ukrainian children have already reported these recruitment attempts to the police, shutting down potential terror attacks before they even started.
Andriy Nebytov from the National Police confirmed the trend, proving that trying to outsmart Ukrainian kids online is a terrible operational strategy.
Expecting digital-native teenagers not to screenshot scam messages and forward them straight to law enforcement might be the single biggest tactical blunder of the war so far.
