Russia Preparing to Drag Men into the Meat Grinder Again

Original version ·

The playbook from Donetsk 2022 is being dusted off for the newly occupied territories.

According to the Atesh partisan movement, Russia is getting ready to repeat the classic Donetsk nightmare of 2022 across the occupied parts of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Luhansk, and Crimea. They aren't even hiding the plan: mass forced mobilization is coming right after the fake September elections.

The script is grimly familiar. Expect doors to be kicked in, streets to become traps, and men to be snatched up regardless of age, health, or combat experience. It is the same old strategy of treating people like disposable meat to fill the gaps in the front lines without any training or decent gear. The Atesh activists who lived through this in Donetsk say it turned into a total disaster for everyone except the people keeping their distance in Moscow.

Even inside Russia, the machines are humming. From Penza to Rostov, military offices are running drills and testing digital registries to make sure nobody slips through the cracks. The best safety plan currently involves leaving before the borders are slammed shut.

It is fascinating how the state values the life of a pawn exactly as much as the cost of the bullet used to send it to the front.
