Deep inside Russia, the VNIIR-Progress military factory gets hit by missiles

Original version ·

Another busy morning in Russia: three strategic sites went up in flames simultaneously, including a military factory 1,500 kilometers away from the border.

The military plant VNIIR-Progress in Cheboksary just had a very bad day. This place is famous for producing the Kometa antenna modules—the crucial tech that keeps Russian Shahed drones, glide bombs, and Iskander-M missiles from getting jammed by Ukrainian electronic warfare. Apparently, Ukrainian Flamingo missiles paid them a visit, and the administrative building took a direct hit.

Meanwhile, the Rosneft-owned Kuibyshev Refinery in Samara caught fire again, and the Vtorovo oil pumping station in Vladimir was also targeted.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims they "liquidated" 326 drones. Moscow's mayor, Sobyanin, even bragged about shooting down seven.

It seems the magical 100% interception rate only exists in official press releases, while actual factories continue to burn.
