At least 345 Ukrainian POWs executed by Russian forces
Just in case anyone needed another reminder of what is happening on the front line.
Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets just released official numbers on executed Ukrainian prisoners of war, and they are horrifying. We are not talking about battlefield crossfire or unverified claims — these are at least 345 cases filmed and documented where unarmed soldiers surrendered, raised their hands, lay on the ground, and were shot point-blank.
In some documented instances, Russian soldiers forced Ukrainian troops to strip completely naked before executing them. On top of that, 375 dead bodies of Ukrainian citizens have been returned from Russian captivity so far.
Geneva Conventions exist, but clearly, some armies treat international humanitarian law like a suggested reading list that nobody bothers to open.
