Because blowing things up wasn't enough, they decided to add a radiation hazard to their cheap drones.

So, the SBU just confirmed that Russia is stuffing Geran-2 drones with actual radioactive parts. We're not talking about some high-tech secret weapon; they're literally ripping R-60M air-to-air missile warheads apart and shoving them into suicide drones.

When these things crash, the radiation levels are spiking well above what's natural. Investigators found over two kilos of depleted uranium in the debris. Basically, they are turning civilian areas into localized hazmat sites because they ran out of conventional explosives or just want to cause extra chaos.

It seems like a new level of desperation, even for them. Imagine hitting a residential area and leaving a radiological cleanup job for the locals as a parting gift.
