Russia’s new drone spam: Shaheds and even a 'Banderol'
It seems the strategy is now 'throw everything at the wall and see what sticks' as Russia launches a massive swarm of cheap toys and real metal.
So, the latest overnight raid was less of a surgical strike and more of a massive, unhinged junk mail delivery. Russia tossed a bit of everything into the air: from standard Shahed drones to these weird new Banderol munitions and even some literal decoys meant to confuse our radar.
The scale is honestly just absurd. They fired off nearly 180 targets, and our guys managed to swat down 138 of them. It’s like trying to fight off a swarm of mosquitoes with a fly swatter while your neighbor keeps throwing plastic lures at your head just to see if you'll flinch.
Some stuff clearly hit, since there were reports from 16 different spots. It’s a messy, noisy game of attrition where one side is hoping we run out of ammo before they run out of scrap metal.
Turns out the real weapon of choice these days is just overwhelming the sky with enough cheap nonsense that even the best systems have to work overtime.
