Russia tries to flood the sky, Ukraine says 'not today'
It turns out throwing over a hundred drones at a country is expensive, but apparently not effective enough to stop Ukraine's air defense.
So, Russia decided to pull a massive drone raid last night. We are talking 127 units of Shahed, Gerbera, and various decoy contraptions flying in from everywhere—Kursk, Orel, Crimea, you name it.
The air defense boys and girls were clearly busy. They managed to neutralize 97 out of 127 targets. That is a pretty solid score considering the sheer volume of metal they had to deal with.
It is getting absurd how they are mixing in these cheap decoys just to see if they can overwhelm the system. Still, the math remains stubborn: most of the swarm ended up as scrap metal before hitting anything critical.
Technology is clearly just a competition of who can manufacture cheap junk faster than the other side can blow it up.
