Russia offered to swap stolen Ukrainian kids as POWs
Just when you think negotiations with Moscow can't get any more dystopian, they pull out a move straight out of a medieval hostage manual.
During negotiations, Ukraine handed over a verified list of 300 abducted children, expecting a normal human response. Instead, Russian representatives casually suggested adding the kids to military POW exchange lists, as revealed by First Lady Olena Zelenska in an interview with The Sun.
They literally treat toddlers and schoolchildren as war trophies to trade for captured combatants. Over 20,000 children have been abducted so far, and while around 2,000 were brought back, thousands remain trapped in re-education camps and schools across occupied lands.
Trading captured soldiers for kindergarteners isn't diplomacy; it's state-level kidnapping managed through an Excel spreadsheet.
