Marco Rubio literally kicks Iran out of the UN party
Diplomacy is officially dead, and the guest list for the United Nations just got a forced update.
So, the United Nations General Assembly wrapped up, and apparently, Marco Rubio decided he’d had enough of the small talk. After a marathon session of going absolutely nowhere, Rubio basically told the Iran delegation to pack their bags and hit the road.
It wasn't even a slow-motion exit. The US mission told Abbas Araghchi and his team that their stay in New York had officially expired. They were literally escorted out the door while they were already planning to leave anyway. Talk about a dramatic way to end a bad business meeting.
The Qataris are still trying to play mediator between the two sides, but it’s mostly just awkward silence at this point. Nobody is budging, and honestly, the vibes are rancid.
Diplomacy is just a fancy word for waiting until someone runs out of patience.
