Russia's oil storage in Rostov just had an unplanned fireworks show

Original version ·

Looks like the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces decided the Russian rear needed a little extra warmth tonight.

Some very motivated drones from the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces, working with a local resistance group called Black Spark, decided to pay a visit to the Rostovnefteprodukt depot and a nearby fuel base in Gukovo.

These facilities weren't just sitting there looking pretty; they were essentially the gas station for the Russian military’s southern logistics. Everything they needed to keep their trucks moving is now basically a giant bonfire.

It’s impressive how quickly a logistical hub becomes a pile of scrap when it’s not properly insured against aerial visits. Apparently, the double-purpose strategy of fueling civilian trucks and military tanks didn't account for this specific type of high-intensity heating.

Expensive fuel burning in the middle of nowhere really does wonders for the local air quality.

I wonder how much 'dual-purpose' fuel actually burned? Probably enough to ruin a few supply lines for a week.
