Russian strike on Pryluky leaves 19 dead, including 5 kids

Original version ·

While diplomatic circles hold endless panels on escalation risks, an ordinary quiet town in Chernihiv Oblast just took a direct missile hit to residential blocks.

Rescue workers in Pryluky are still digging through rubble, and the updates just keep getting grimmer. The death toll from the missile strike has climbed to 19, with five children among the dead, including three infants who were only one year old. Fifty-five others were injured.

Police have already inspected nearly 350 ruined and damaged apartments in multi-story residential blocks, along with private houses and burnt-out cars. Just ordinary civilian homes where people were trying to sleep.

Evidently, obliterating toddlers in their cribs remains a legitimate tactical goal for the Russian military machine.
